Ernesto
Sepúlveda-Villarreal. He obtained a BA in Economics at the Universidad
Autónoma de Nuevo León (UANL), a MA in Economics at the Instituto Tecnológico
Autónomo de México (ITAM), and a PhD in Economics at the University of Essex. He has taught at the UANL, where he was full-time
lecturer, and has also taught at the ITAM (part-time). He worked for the Mexican
Ministry of Finance and Public Credit four years before
undertaking his doctoral studies in the United Kingdom. His main research
interests are in international macroeconomics, monetary economics, financial
intermediation and economic development. Currently he is advisor to the Board
of Governors in Banco de México (the Mexican central bank)
and also teaches international macroeconomics for postgraduate students at
the Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económica (CIDE).
Since 2005 is member of the Technical Committee for the IMEF indicator of the
Mexican entrepreneurial environment (IIEEM). |
